Earth Month

Earth Month is here and that means that Aveda Institute Chapel Hill is buzzing with activity. Join us for one of our events listed below!

Earth Month

Aveda’s 2013 Earth Month campaign will inspire its network of beauty professionals and consumers in more than 30 countries to raise $5 million for the protection of clean water — a basic human right that nearly 900 million people worldwide fight for daily. In support of achieving this goal, the school of cosmetology and skin care, during the months of March, April and May, hopes to raise $30,000 in donations to benefit its Earth Month partner, Triangle Land Conservancy, through a variety of student-focused activities.

EARTH MONTH 2013 PARTNER

This years Earth Month partner is The Triangle Land Conservancy.

TLC makes a positive, permanent impact on the quality of life in the Triangle area by safeguarding clean water, protecting wildlife habitat, keeping local farms and food in our community, and providing places for people to connect with nature. They identify the most important natural and working lands in the region and work with landowners, developers, municipalities, non-profit partners, and the public to preserve sensitive land along streams and unique natural areas.

TLC’s mission is to protect important open space—stream corridors, forests, wildlife habitat, farmland and natural areas—in Chatham, Durham, Johnston, Lee, Orange and Wake Counties to help keep our region a healthy and vibrant place to live and work.
